I have a confession to make
I have a confession to make...
As you may have heard, this year marks Jane Austen’s 250th birthday (on December 16th to be exact).
Fun things in honor of her are happening all over the place, like outdoor cinema nights featuring movies of her novels at Chatsworth House, the film location for Pemberley in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice. (If you get to go, you must come into the shop and tell me all about it!)

So, I decided to reread Pride and Prejudice after seeing that adaptation again in the theatre a few months ago.
And that got me thinking: I am aghast and chagrined to admit that I have not read ALL of Jane Austen’s novels!

Like Meg Ryan’s character in You’ve Got Mail, I’ve read P&P multiple times, and I’ve read Emma and Sense & Sensibility at least once each. BUT I’ve not read the others!!
So, I am hereby making a challenge to myself: My goal is to read her other three major novels ~ Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey ~ by her birthday on December 16th.
You heard it here, and I want you to hold me to it.
Have you read all of Jane’s novels? If not, I’d love for you to join me; we can have a big Jane Austen’s Birthday party in December to celebrate!
