Sometimes the best reminders come from friends!

For instance, recently our friends Boo and Rick reminded me about a brand that we used to carry ~ and that we are now, because of that reminder, offering again at The Hare & The Hart.

Let me back up...

Boo and her husband Rick were some of our first friends when we moved to Thomasville and opened our shop back in 2018. Chris and I had just returned from a trip to Scotland, and when we met them, we all immediately bonded over our travels to the UK and beyond.

Since then, we meet for dinner, or have a chat in the shop (or on the sidewalk outside the YMCA, or wherever we happen to meet up), and there is no end to the sharing of travel ideas... and oh, which are the best British murder mysteries or history shows to stream!

Now, back to the product reminder:

Boo and Rick recently traveled to London again and made sure to visit not one, but both locations of Norfolk Natural Living, a brand they discovered the year before at NNL's "stall" (pop-up shop) at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

They were telling me all about it when I remembered that about 5 years ago, we started carrying that brand ~ and I remembered what I loved about it... and then I immediately placed my first reorder since 2022!

There are so many new products since we last stocked Norfolk Natural Living, and I am so glad we offer their range again.

Norfolk Natural Living is made in (you guessed it) Norfolk, a county in East Anglia, on the east coast of England. Founded by Bella Middleton, whose philosophy is... well, let me share it in her own words:

You can see why that philosophy resonates with us at The Hare & The Hart. Our mission statement, which hangs behind our newly repositioned check-out counter, says, "... we adore celebrating the beauty of the places people love, embellishing the spaces surrounding them, and sharing in the extraordinary joy of the everyday."

And, of course we adore sourcing artisan, small-batch English brands (along with Southern and French ones too!) for you.

Let's not forget how absolutely delicous all of these candles, soaps, and lotions are. I wish that blogs had a "scratch & sniff" feature!

When you next come into the shop, you will experience the gorgeous, clean, layered scents for yourself. And ask for a sample of hand cream. It's to-die-for!
