Thomasville is a special place to land.

We are grateful at the Hart house that our Tampa (and beyond) family and friends have reported to us that they made it throughHurricane Milton. They have damage and no power, but they are SAFE. And we are THANKFUL.

In Thomasville this week, we were able to open our arms, shops, and homes to evacuees from the Gulf coast and central Florida.

Hugging friends old and new in the shop has been a privilege and blessing.

We met so many sweet families and found connections to strangers which made them immediate friends. It truly is a small world.

Several people who spent their first time in Thomasville told us that they fell in love with this special town, the people, the unique businesses, and its hospitality ~ and that they plan to return. (A few even told me they booked their return trips already!)

I was able to tell them about the many wonderful events coming up this fall and holiday season which, as you know, I keep at the bottom of each week's email. Of note are our in-shop events:

First up is a pop-up featuring Briley Cotton Gunter with her beautiful necklaces. We recently hosted Briley in August, and it was so popular we are bringing her back.

At Briley’s Bead Bar, you choose your beads, your clasp, and your charm. It’s a wonderful opportunity to shop unique gifts for Christmas or to treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind necklace that celebrates your personality!

In November, we will host two Saturday events in which local makers whose work we carry year-round will be in the shop with new items perfect for Christmas shopping!

Trellis Payne will be in the shop on November 16th for her annual collection debut. I can’t wait to see some of her new art! I’ll share more details as we get closer.

Then, on November 23rd and 24th, we’ve got a Meet the Artisans event in which both Jenny (of Honey Bee Fabrications) and Sarah (of The Tuckered Elephant) will join us in the shop.

Jenny will debut new pillows, headbands, and all sorts of fabrications for the home ~ and Sarah will have more of her gorgeous creations crafted out of antique grain sacks, including her popular totes.

{I can’t put it into words, but magic happens when those two are together in the shop!}

I really hope to see YOU soon.
