Join us for a deep dive into the whimsical world of plaster cloth sculpture. This two-session workshop led by artist Liz Snowden is designed for anyone—from the "craft-curious" to the seasoned artist—looking to master the art of building form, texture, and personality.

The Experience:

Liz will guide you through the satisfying process of building a sturdy internal armature and covering it with plaster cloth to create a rock-solid, lightweight form. Once our hearts are set, in session 2, we’ll move into the design phase, exploring bold color blocking, hand-lettering, and high-contrast patterns.

What You’ll Learn:

    •    Structural Design: How to build a balanced, freestanding form that defies gravity.
    •    Plaster Mastery: Professional techniques for dipping, layering, and smoothing plaster cloth for a seamless finish.
    •    Surface Artistry: Transitioning from sculpture to "3D canvas" using acrylics to create a high-impact, whimsical, pop-art aesthetic.

Whether you’re looking to learn a new technical skill or just want to spend two days getting your hands messy and making something beautiful, you’ll leave with a finished, gallery-ready piece.
