Join us for an engaging Gelli Plate Printing workshop where you'll learn to create vibrant and unique prints with ease, taught by collage and mixed-media artist Liz Snowden.

What is Gelli Plate Printing?

Gelli plate printing uses a soft, gelatin-like plate to transfer paint and patterns onto paper. It's a spontaneous and freeing process that yields surprisingly sophisticated results – no prior art experience needed!

In this hands-on workshop, you will:

  • Learn the basics: Discover how to properly ink your gelli plate, choose complementary colors, and create interesting textures.
  • Experiment with techniques: Explore a variety of methods using everyday objects, stencils, natural elements, and more to create captivating patterns.
  • Print a collection of unique papers: You'll leave with a beautiful stack of your own hand-printed papers, each a miniature work of art.

This Gelli Plate Printing class is a great stand-alone class, or it may be paired with our upcoming Chinoiserie Vase Collage Class on August 23rd! The papers you create in this workshop will be ideal for adding personal flair to your collaged vase. Consider taking both classes to unlock a full creative experience!
