Never a dull moment this year

Happy last Friday in February!

Are we seriously one-sixth through 2026 already?

As we march our way into next month (see what I did there?), I am reflecting on all we've done so far this year:

✨Three sold-out Saturday workshops ~ with another one coming up tomorrow (see below!) ✨

✨A pop-up shop debut and online drop for the oh-so-popular Properly Popped line of beautifully upcycled ruffled blouses

✨Several other new product lines introduced to the shop (Scottish brand East End Press, European artisan goods from Atlanta-based EtúHome, classic straw Tula Hats, and more) ✨

✨Hosting a huge event, Landmarks' "Oysters in the Afternoon" at our home ✨

✨A super busy Sidewalk Sale last Saturday ✨

Plus, long-lost friends have visited, we attended the Thomasville Bicentennial kickoff and a tree dedication, and so much more!

Life is never dull here in the Red Hills.

Last night, for instance, Chris and I had the joy of attending a quintessentially Thomasville event, the black-tie preview party for the Thomasville Antiques Show.

To quote TAS: "More than just a show, this annual gathering was founded to enrich Thomasville’s cultural landscape by creating a space for world-class artistry, design, and craftsmanship for our community to enjoy. Today, the tradition continues its meaningful purpose with proceeds supporting local nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in our area.

The weekend offers something for everyone — from
captivating design lectures and inspiring presentations to hands-on workshops and exquisite social events.

We invite you to
experience the elegance, discover the extraordinary, and be part of a tradition that celebrates both beauty and purpose." If you know us, that's all right up our street! If you are looking for something different to do this weekend, we'd love to see you at the shop after you visit the Antiques Show.

But wait, there's even more to come this spring in our area!

Coming up on March 14th, the 4th annual Pebble Hill Polo Classic returns. We will be there to enjoy it and we'd love to see you there.

It's an unforgettable Red Hills Region experience – the day is all about gathering with family and friends for a wonderful time of entertainment and fun, including a polo match, live music, food trucks, and more.

The history and grandeur of foxhunting come to life at the Pebble Hill Polo Classic with the parading of the magnificent Live Oak Hounds Pack.

All of this is set against the picturesque backdrop of a beautiful and historic home and grounds, and proceeds benefit Pebble Hill’s Preservation Fund.

(Afterwards, pop into downtown Thomasville to shop and dine our historic downtown!)

Other upcoming events to spice up your trips to Thomasville (and The Hare & The Hart) are Meet the Artist and Due South on April 18th, Rose Show & Festival on April 24th and 25th, and Landmarks' Kentucky Derby Party at historic Greenwood on May 2nd.

And be on the lookout for more workshops in April and May in our Atelier. We are cooking up more fun to come!

As always, we keep a list with links to more info and tickets at the bottom of each week's newsletters and on our website, so be sure to check back when planning your weekends.

I didn't think we could top 2025, but so far 2026 seems to be giving her older sister a run for her money!
